Launch of Discussion Document on a Northern Ireland Climate Change Bill

The Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs (DAERA) is seeking the views of individuals, organisations and business across society in order to understand public views as to what a Northern Ireland Climate Change Bill should like.

The Discussion Document sets out options, with analysis and questions for your response. The full-length Discussion Document and Easy Ready versions are available at the DAERA Consultation webpage.

The Department is encouraging stakeholders to respond using the online response (survey) function. This would greatly assist us with timely processing of the large volume of responses expected, as staff access to Departmental resources and buildings are impacted during the Covid19 pandemic. This will also support our ongoing efforts to reduce the environmental impact of the production of consultation papers.

The Consultation will be open for responses from Tuesday 8th December 2020 until Monday 1st February 2021.
