Chairperson sought for National Outdoor Recreation Forum

The National Outdoor Recreation Forum was established by Sport NI as a direct output from the Outdoor Recreation Action Plan for Northern Ireland.

The Forum brings together key stakeholders outside of government to provide a clear and joined up voice for dealing with issues that cannot be resolved at a local level.  An independent chairperson is required by the Forum and following consultation with its members it was agreed Sport NI carry out the appointment process on behalf of the forum.

The Chair is pivotal to creating the conditions for the effectiveness of the Forum and to effectively liaise with government through the Strategic Outdoor Recreation Group.  The appointment is voluntary with direct agreed expenses for travel and subsistence payable.
