The Challenge
Bord na Móna manages a land holding of over 80,000 hectares of peatland, predominately in the Midlands of Ireland. With the cessation of peat harvesting, Bord na Móna’s vision is to create a mosaic of rewetted and rehabilitated peatlands existing side by side with renewable energy assets and sensitively developed, natural spaces for public enjoyment.
The Role
Outscape is working with Bord na Móna to develop a recreation strategy that delivers both health and wellbeing benefits for their local communities and supports the growth of sustainable tourism within the Midlands, helping to regenerate the local economy.
