Derg Valley Feasibility Study
Client: Derry City & Strabane District Council
The Challenge
To carry out a feasibility review, options appraisal and economic analysis into the development of a Derg Valley Riverside Walk / Multi Activity Route.
The Role
We led on a study which examined, reviewed and added value to the feasibility work previously undertaken by looking at the other activity options available such as canoeing, natural heritage, angling etc. This included:
- Development of options for the development of a £500k capital project relating to walk infrastructure along the Derg Valley
- An options appraisal to identify the most effective approach to the route’s development based on an initial investment of £500k
- Preparation of robust costs
