The Challenge
To undertake a review of the delivery and strategic development of the Walks Scheme funded by the Department of Rural and Community Development, to assess the role and resourcing of Rural Recreation Officers in contribution to the delivery of the Walk Scheme and the development of the outdoor recreation sector generally.
The Role
To deliver the following actions:
- Review of the Current Walk Scheme
- Review the role and effectiveness of Rural Recreation Officers
- Identify potential for strategic expansion of the scheme
- Examine and draw conclusion on the funding model
- Provide recommendation arising from above analysis
