#RightSideOfOutside Campaign
22nd October 2021The #RightSideOfOutside marketing campaign is a Nationwide marketing campaign from ORNI on behalf of a wider group of organisations. It aims to encourage responsible use of the outdoors to address significant issues in the outdoors due to the increase in visitors since the start of the Covid-19 pandemic. It targets the ‘new’ visitor that might not fully understand how best to look after the outdoors responsibly.
The steering group agreed the most common issues to address initially were these 6 –
- Litter
- Dog Fouling
- Dressing Appropriately
- Parking
- Wildfires
- Wild Camping
- Livestock Worrying
In order to effectively target the ‘new visitor’ it is key they are targeted with really simple messages to ensure understanding. We have collated our resources for anyone to share in order to spread the word and keep more people on the #RightSideOfOutside. Please feel free to use them, tagging @WalkNI where possible and using the hashtag #RightSideOfOutside so that we can see where it is being used.
